The month of June in the Netherlands is a feast for the senses. The rare warmth of sunrays on your face; the smell of flowers and fresh food on the BBQ; and all those summer favourites being played, each year redefining what the season sounds like. This year, the season sounds a lot like Pleinvrees Festival.
Pleinvrees is an intimate, electronic music festival filled with live acts and renowned DJs and music you constantly want to Shazam but can’t find.
Sounds include a line-up of local artists, such as Patrice Bäumel, Olivier Weiter, Miss Melera, Tunnelvisions, Lovestad, plus little-known and up-coming names such as Marcus Worgull, Juan Sanchez, Kevin de Vries, Worakls, Mira & Chris Schwarzwalder and and better-known Bob Moses, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Jan Blomqvist, Lee Burridge, Stephan Bodzin and Monolink.
With festivals becoming more and more about the experience rather than the line-up, it’s refreshing to see one that balances the two so well. With this lineup, the amount of good music played over 11-hour duration is going to be hard to beat.
