Google has removed a game called ‘Bomb Gaza’ from its play store after a storm of criticism. The game’s logo included an F16 fighter jet, as used by Israel Defence Forces, and the description told users that they must “drop bombs and avoid killing civilians”.
The game was first added to the Play store on July 29 had been downloaded around 800 times. One Google user who had commented on Bomb Gaza’s review said: “To think that you can turn genocide, murder and ethnic cleansing into a game is absolutely disgusting”, while another said it was “utterly shameful”.
It raises serious questions of Google’s ethical standards however google hasn’t come up with any statement over this delicate issue.
