Mooji, the eclectic alter-ego of techno producer Kramnik, explores an eclectic variety of genres on his new album, Double Agent. With influences ranging from acid-jazz through dub and funk, the album is an intoxicating and ambitious. Don’t is an electro-indie track with a powerful groove, centred around its driving baseline, heavy drums and menacing vocoders. Watch the video above, exclusive to Bizarre Culture. Shot in Notting Hill, it is a powerful story of human emotion which captivates you until the closing shot, running backwards with its sinister narrative.
The Double Agent album is due for release in March 2016, including dubby perfection on Medley, an experimental groove featuring vocals by Jamaican dub guru Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry. Having only recently adopted the Mooji monicker, the breadth and variety of Kramnik’s talent and influences are already shining through. Listen to more of Mooji here.
