Best of December: Magnetic Fields 2017

In the beautiful Alsisar Palace, 250 km from the capital, Magnetic Fields 2017 is the comfort in the chaos of the smoggy winters of Northern India. With its most ambitious lineup to date, Magnetic Fields has gathered an eclectic mix of must-see musical acts this year for its fifth installment, maintaining its reputation for booking the most influential and creative artists of recent times.

Two headlining acts this year are Four Tet and Daphni, who have both recently released albums to a warm response. Accompanying them, Hessle Audio founder Ben UFO, who has access to the creme de la creme of music libraries, possesses impeccable selection and offers flawless mixing ability which has earned him a lead role this year as a headlining dancefloor assassin. Actress, one of the most admirable producers of our times; and Special Request who recently finished an incendiary 23 track album are also set to play. Magnetic Fields also welcomes rising stars such as Willow and Jayda G, with established veterans such as Machinedrum and  Tijana T drawn from all corners of the scene. Other highlights include Sassy J, Dolan Bergin, Arjun Vagale, Teebs, Kumail, Sid Vashi, Stalvart John, Sandunes, Jivraj Singh, and Priya Purushothaman. And, not to mention, a steady tribute to local talent Delhi Sultanate, with these renowned reggae sounds woven around all others throughout the weekend.
