Field Day promises to bring the best live music and DJs to East London’s Victoria Park this summer, with a stellar lineup that surprises in its variety. Headlined by the innovative James Blake on the Saturday and the equally original PJ Harvey on the Sunday, The festival has done away with genres, bringing quality in all shapes and sizes.
On the Saturday, esteemed house and techno DJs like Koze, Four Tet, Jackmaster, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Roman Flügel, Tale of Us and The Black Madonna are joined by grime heavyweights Frisco, Skepta, Slimzee and Novelist. Live shows from Bicep, Floating Points, Bulgarian hardware wizard KiNK and others complement the eclectic sounds of performers like PC Music’s Danny L Harle and Kelela.
Sunday brings pioneering French outfit Air, Australian rock band The Temper Trap and London indie group Mystery Jets. Legendary Glaswegian selectors Optimo and Dan Snaith (Caribou)’s Daphni alias also make an appearance, along with Tourist, D.D Dumbo, GOAT, Beach House and more.
Field Day festival hasn’t got caught up in the when, how or why, concerned only with showcasing the best that music has to offer. For tickets and info, visit the Field Day website here.
