Paradise City 2019: Living up to its reputation

Paradise City returns to the grounds of Ribaucout Castle, Belgium, for its fifth anniversary edition this summer.

Since 2015, Paradise City has established itself as one of Belgium’s premier electronic music festivals. The line-up contains a number of big names, mostly focusing on the more left-field, quirky end of techno and melodic house. These acts include Daphni (aka Caribou), DJ Koze, Todd Terje, Konstantin Sibold, Jan Blomqvist, Adriatique, and Motor City Drum Ensemble. Heavier techno fans will be served well though, as German label Geigling will be curating a stage for two days.

Across the weekend, the Belgian music scene also gets to shine through. The Brussels-based party planners Under My Garage have organised an excellent line-up of rave and acid orientated techno, with Eris Drew, John Talabot and Skatård. A long-term staple of the Belgian House scene Nico Morano will be curating a stage with live acts from Kalipo and Stereoclip, and &ME peak hours set.

As in previous years, the organisers of Paradise City will continue their commitment to running an environmentally friendly festival. Amongst a range of different measures, this means that all of the food at the festival will be locally sourced and vegetarian.

Paradise City runs from the 5th to the 7th of July. You can buy tickets here.
